Computer Classes at Burton Barr Central Library

Free computer classes are offered in English and Spanish at Burton Barr Central Library, in the Computer Training Room (located in the northwest corner of the 1st floor). Seating is limited--free tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the 1st Floor Welcome Desk. Ages 16 and up. Get to know your computer & Computer schedule English & Spanish You can check the website for more information or call at (602) 262-4636.

Caesar Chavez branch at 35 Ave & Baseline has computer classes in English and is the only other location close to either CHC or SC.

Camp Incredible, a program of Southwest Center, was established in 2005 and is free of charge.  Camp Incredible provides a safe, fun and positive environment for families to reconnect and strengthen their family bond by spending time together, participating in activities, relaxing and having fun.

Utility Assistance

Community Action Programs in Maricopa County are hosting walk-in events for utility assistance for low-income households- No Appointment is necessary at these events! If unable to attend one of these events, CALL the Community Action Program in your area (reverse side). If you have received utility assistance in the past 12 months, please call your CAP office to schedule an appointment as you may not be eligible at this time.

Maricopa County residents living outside of Phoenix can attend these walk-in events.* Persons are seen on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be given a number in order of their place in line. A number is not a guarantee of an interview. Residents given numbers that morning may be interviewed and pre-screened to apply for UTILITY ASSISTANCE ONLY. An interview is not a guarantee of assistance.

*Phoenix Residents may attend the event at the West Valley Career Center. For more information see attachment
